For Job Seekers
The Workforce New York Career Centers have knowledgeable and courteous Career Specialists on hand that are available to assess your background, help you identify transferable skills, answer questions and accelerate the process of creating your job search plan. The Career Centers are designed to assist you with your employment goals and career specialists are available to answer any questions you may have.
For Employers
Career Center staff can help employers recruit and train employees. The staff will screen candidates from a computerized job matching “Talent Bank”, provide assessment of the individuals, and arrange for you to interview those individuals who meet your requirements. Mini-job fairs may be arranged through the Business Services Unit. Salary reimbursement and other incentives may be provided in exchange for hiring and training new employees.
Youth Programs
The Workforce Partnership is the recipient of federal funding to provide employment and training services to disadvantaged youth 14-24 years of age. The program services both youth that are in and out of School.
For Veterans
NYS Department of Labor, Services for Veterans, Nassau County Veterans Service Agency, and Town of Oyster Bay – Division of Veterans Services are agencies dedicated to providing services to veterans and their families: including job placement, transportation, tax exemptions, and guidance.
